BEAUTIFUL PELICAN BAY

During the month at Burnt Store Marina, we decided to join our friends Jerry & Cheryl and Jon & Carolyn in anchoring at Pelican Bay and nearby Cayo Costa. It was indeed a beautiful spot and I thought you might enjoy more pictures of the area.

IS IT MARCH ALREADY?

You have to admit that I have been a bit behind the ape ball when it comes to writing this blog. It's just that we have been having way too much fun! I can't believe it's March already. Not that we all haven't been begging for warmer, sunnier weather throughout the eastern part of the country.

We had a beautiful cruise down from Venice and entered into Burnt Store Marina Jan. 23. We have several good friends who winter there and we were able to spend a month with them. A few looper friends passed through on their way further south and we were able to have drinks with them as well. Where would loopers be without good friends and drinks!!

We were also able to catch up with Dennie & Claudia who decided to escape from the cold for the second time this winter! It's always good to see them. Then we celebrated Valentine's Day with Mom and Dad, and Julie and David in Naples. Julie fixed a most fabulous feast!
On February 20, we moved up to Fisherman's Village which is within walking distance to downtown Punta Gorda. It, too, is a fun Marina and a place we felt confident enough to leave the boat at while we headed back to Ky for tax and doc time.
