TRAVEL THAT ROAD

Walt Whitman said," Not I-not anyone else can travel that road for you, You must travel it for yourself."
Hopefully, Amara we have provided you with a little different road of travel!

After visiting our wonderful children, grandchildren and friends in Ky for the first two weeks in March, we arrived back in Fisherman's Village on March 16. We were excited to begin our journey south again with our granddaughter Amara. Captain John and I cruised down Charlotte Harbor to Burnt Store Marina and picked up Amara at the airport. The three of us navigated to Cayo Costa , anchored the Lady and then took the dingy over to the island to explore all it's beauty.

The next day we took off for Naples and traveled the Gulf on what had to be the BEST DAY EVER for cruising. As we passed GaGa and Gramps' home we took a photo and tried to wave, but alas they weren't home. We did catch up with them that night and spent a great few days with them.
Brother David's Sea Ray salesman (another story altogether!!!) found us a nice slip at Cove Inn and we spent the remainder of Amara's time with us there. We do wish that she had more time to spend, but there's always next time. We threatened to kidnap her and take her to the Keys with us! Now that we are in the Keys, however, that wouldn't have been a good idea. She's not ready to be exposed to this life style yet.
